Varna, on the Black Sea coast is a major port and tourist city attracting hundreds of thousands of foreigners annually, as well as being a vital economic hub in Bulgaria. Varna is not only a beach resort it is a place that is able to rival the great cities of Sofia and Plovdiv, with its array of fantastic cultural attractions, historical buildings, museums and art galleries. The city of Stara Zagora occupies a strategic and important location in the country and is one of the most important economic hubs in Bulgaria. Located in central southern Bulgaria, Stara Zagora is a central hub for regional, national and cross border transportation. The Mayor’s office has also recently announced that a Consortium is to invest over EUR15 million into building an F1 racing circuit in Kavarna, near the city of Varna.
